Alisha I have always had a passion for hair. When I was little I used to sit in front of the mirror just trying to make new styles with my hair. I also used to cut and style my barbie’s hair, when their hair was cut too short I didn’t want them anymore. In high school I always did everyone’s hair for dances. It was senior year and I was doing a bunch of hair for a banquet and everyone asked me ‘why don’t you go to school for this? A light bulb went off “why don’t I do this?”. I never thought of doing hair as a job it was just fun. To this day I feel like this, I love my job and could never imagine doing anything else. When this wonderful opportunity came up to open my own salon it only took me a minute to say YES! I am so excited to bring this passion of mine to everyone. I can honestly say I am living my dream! |

Amanda For as long as I can remember I've always been told I could never have a 'desk job'. My mother even used to tease if socializing were a career I'd be very successful. Little did they know, they were right about me!

Angie For as long as I can remember I have loved styling hair and everything that comes along with it. This all began as a child with my first clients, my dolls! I was always styling my dolls’ hair and even giving them a new cut here and there until I realized that they weren’t growing any hair back. As I grew older this passion for hair grew even more and I began helping my friends with their hair for prom, weddings, or any other special events. It was a really good feeling helping others look their best and I knew that I wanted to get better at this talent. Finishing up high school I was really unsure of what I wanted to do, even though cosmetology was always on the back of my mind. I didn’t know what kind of career in cosmetology I could have so I decided to attend college for Criminal Justice instead. It wasn’t long until I realized that I was definitely in the wrong place. That year made me recognize that I needed to go to school for something that I was really passionate about instead. With the support of my family, I enrolled at the Professional Design Academy and instantly knew I was where I needed to be. I look forward to sharing my love of styling and creativity with you! |

Laura Hi, I'm Laura King from Augusta, WI. Although I was always a girlie girl, my barbies never got haircuts from me when I was little! I got my first job when I was 16 working as a receptionist at a large salon in Eau Claire. Knowing nothing about how a salon worked, I didn't really enjoy the job I was doing right from the start. But as the days went on I learned a lot more and suddenly became fascinated with the work! So fascinated that I actually decided to go to school for hair! I started at the Professional Hair Design Academy as soon as I could, and have been working in a salon ever since. I absolutely love going to work everyday and can't wait to hear new stories from clients. I also love the fact that every client that sits in my chair feels better when they leave the salon than when they first came in. That is what makes it worthwhile! |
